Studio recording, Appetite for Destruction sessions (1987). The amp was a rented, modded Marshall Super Tremolo head known as S.I.R. #39, with added gain via the unused tremolo circuit and a master volume. Guitar was a Les Paul replica by Kris Derrig, not a Gibson. Settings are for studio, not live. No evidence of boost/overdrive pedals; distortion from amp gain. No evidence of effects loop use.
