Studio recording, 1993-1994. The solo was recorded using a Fender 1000 pedal steel, not a Stratocaster. Confirmed by multiple sources including Gilmour's tech and Equipboard. Effects chain included Big Muff fuzz, delay, and compression. No evidence of chorus or modulation effects on the studio solo. Live versions sometimes use lap steel or Strat, but the studio version is pedal steel.
